Tesseract OCR in Adalo

Hi,

I am looking for a way to enable the app user to take a picture / or live image with his camera from an ingredients list and extract the ingredients (words) in order to search for them in a database. I know that it might be possible with Googles ML Vision but I would like to go with a cheaper option like Tesseract. I am looking for a tutorial or something similar that could guide me through. Any ideas or hints?

Hi,

I spent the last days trying to figure out how to integrate Tesseract OCR myself, without success. Is there any other free OCR possibility in connection with the phones camera with Adalo? I know that it would work with bubble. Google Vision is too expensive for me.

Check https://www.klippa.com/ or Free OCR API. I think both are compatible with Adalo and generous pricing.
