This guide explains how you can view, vote and create feature/component requests on the Adalo forum.

All data from https://adalo.canny.io has now been migrated to the Adalo Forum (Discourse hosted).

This includes:

Note : Spam and irrelevant posts were filtered out before migration, so only remaining posts after filtering out was imported.


:card_file_box: How to View Requests

:one: Go to the Roadmap Category

You can find the category in two ways:

  • From the latest page→ Use the Categories Dropdown
  • From Categories Page → Click on the Roadmap category

Inside Roadmap category, you’ll see:

  • Feature Requests
  • Component Requests

:two: Open a Request

Click any topic to view:

  • The original post
  • All replies
  • All voters

:plus: How to Vote on Requests

:one: Voting

At the top of each post, you’ll see a Vote Button.

To vote:

  1. Click Vote
  2. You’ll see:
  • Confirmation message
  • Your remaining votes

Note : Maximum votes per user is 500.

:two: Removing a Vote

If you change your mind:

  1. Click the vote button again (it would be as Voted since you’ve already voted)
  2. Select Remove Vote

The vote count updates instantly.


:magnifying_glass_tilted_left: Filtering Requests

:one: By Subcategory

You can filter by:

  • Feature Requests
  • Component Requests

This helps you focus on what you care about.

:two: By Vote Status

When filtering by subcategory, two special views appear:

Top Voted

Shows requests sorted by:
:right_arrow: Most votes to Least votes.

My Votes

Shows only:
:right_arrow: Requests you have voted on

Perfect for tracking your interests.


:multiply: Removing All Filters

To see everything again:

:right_arrow: Click Remove Filter

You’ll see:

  • All feature requests
  • All component requests

:bar_chart: Kanban Board View

When you’re on the main Roadmap page (means you’ve selected the Roadmap category), you’ll see a new group called Board.

It shows:

Status Meaning
under-review Not planned yet but exploring solutions.
planned Scheduled to implement.
in-progress Being worked on.
completed Finished and avaiable for every maker.

Note : Only staff members can move cards.


:writing_hand: How to Create a New Request

Step 1: Click “New Topic”

Start by clicking New Topic.

Step 2: Add a Title

Rules:

  • Minimum: 15 characters
  • Must be clear and descriptive

Step 3: Choose a Category

You may select:

  • Roadmap
  • Roadmap × Feature Requests
  • Roadmap × Component Requests

Note : Don’t worry if you choose wrong category because me or another staff member will re-categorize if needed. (Community Leaders can re-categorize too!)

Step 4: Write the Post Content

Minimum: 15 characters

:cross_mark: Avoid:

  • One-line posts
  • Vague descriptions

:white_check_mark: Do:

  • Explain clearly
  • Add examples
  • Include screenshots
  • Add videos if possible

Note : The clearer your request, the more likely it gets votes and we track those votes!

Step 5: Tags (Optional)

Tags are managed by the team. You don’t need to worry about them and can leave them as default.

Step 6: Create Topic

Finally:
:right_arrow: Click Create Topic and your request is now live!
