App Preview Speed vs Actual App

I’ve already read and applied most of the performance optimization tips from the forum. I’ve also submitted a support ticket about this issue. I don’t have any problems running the app in the previewer (mobile, web, shared). However, after publishing it for a test, the performance is significantly different. Even the Adalo loading sign is delayed, and it only has a link action.

Hi @anthony25 ,

Are you talking about the final build or PWA?

final build. still testing it to make adjustments
thanks @ishantanusrivastava

have you managed to find solution?

Unfortunately, no. There’s still a significant performance gap between the app and the previewers. Ideally, I’d like the app to be on par with the previewer’s speed. @obvious-reasons

It seems like this community is dead-ish. I did some research from 2 years ago and there should be an improvement (according to Adalo) in optimization and overall speed. Although, to be honest, I have spoken today with couple of folks using Adalo previously (last year) and switching to something else - unfortunately, because of the performance. And I think there is no solution for that until next updates from Adalo?

In the meanwhile I guess you can list all of the performance tweaks you already applied to your app.

Do you use Adalo collections btw?

Yes, I’m only using Adalo collections. I considered switching platforms, but I’ve already invested a lot of time and money into this project. Somehow the previewer’s speed is misleading and doesn’t accurately reflect the actual app’s performance. I’ve reached out to Adalo support for assistance, but unfortunately, it’s taking them a long time to respond.
