Changing input value on another screen

Users are able to save a prior sent message into a collection called “Saved Messages”
While in a current conversation they can recall those saved messages to save time.

I’ve created a good workflow for saving and viewing these messages but have hit a wall on getting the saved message to change the input value on the current conversation screen so the user can edit (if needed) and send.

Any advice on successfully changing the input value on another screen?
