I was wondering if its possible to create a sheet which when the user opens the app this displays for a few seconds and then it automatically moves to the homepage.
I’m aware of being able to have automatic actions from one sheet to another but these are quite quick and not really of use…

Could you please explain, what do you mean by “sheet”?
In Adalo there are no “Sheets”, there are Screens.

Essentially i’m wondering if we can keep the view on a certain screen for an amount of time e.g. 5-10 seconds and then link to another automatically.

Yes, this is possible. I would recommend to look at Countdown Timer component, you can find it at the Marketplace. You can add this timer to a screen, set to 5 seconds, add an action for countdown finish to link to different screen, and then hide it.
Be sure not to allow users to go back to this “timer” screen - as it may not restart and users will got stuck.
