Custom Filtering of Users based on related collections

Hi everyone,
Please can anyone help with using a custom filter to search and filter a list of users based on a list of a collection they have a relation with

Ex. On my app users swipe right on a list of interests which are then updated on the user database as the user’s choice of interests.

How can set up the custom filter to filter from a list of users based on their selected interests, by simply typing the name of an interest e.g. “Cooking” in the search bar input to get results of users who swiped right on that interest?
