Hello,
when using the “custom list” option, I cannot find a way to make each listed item have its own action . I am hoping to have each listed item transition to a different screen.
Would I need to create individual items/icons and have them linked separately, or is there another way with the “custom link”?

I think perhaps you may have a misunderstanding on what dynamic content may mean for your app. The idea behind a dynamic app is that you would link to a single screen from a list of items and that single screen would load the content of each item in that list dynamically. Meaning that the content of that screen will be different for each item on that list. Therefore you do not need a new screen for each, but just different content to display on a single screen
