So after getting a lot of interest from my local community in a small town in Ontario, I started off my journey with Adalo to build a long term relationship, dating and BFF app. Adalo is great, community is great. so much to learn here.
This is my first ever app so i am pretty excited about it, however little i knew i will come across several challenges. Once my app was setup on web (not on ios or google yet) and running with my early users, I started exploring the paywall/payment options. Adalo has only two options: Stripe and IAPhub.
- Stripe strongly dislikes dating sites because they are high risk business and most of the applications are rejected.
- IAPHub only works with native apps on ios and android.
I started exploring other options:
- Zapier + Square + Adalo integration: First I don’t know how to successfully run that automation. Secondly although Square does have a subscription option, it is more about delivering products and not so much about accepting recurring subscriptions for services like dating sites.
- Paypal: I called paypal and they said they have the same rules as Stripe and i will run into the same issue. They can’t help me.
I really don’t know where to go next. Has anyone built a dating app and successfully implemented a payment solution?
