How do you rebuild app to get new Adalo features?

Newbie question :grimacing:

How do you rebuild your app to get new Adalo features? Is it as easy as duplicating it?

I’m sure this is a daft question and straight forward.

Thanks in advance

No worries, this isn’t a daft question at all! Let’s see if I can help.

If you’re specifically interested in utilizing the new responsive editor and features in Adalo, there’s good news! You can migrate your existing app to take advantage of them. Here’s how:

  1. Open your app in the Adalo editor.
  2. Click the Gear Icon: On the left panel, locate the gear icon (it represents app settings).
  3. App Layout Type: Within the settings menu, navigate to the “App Layout Type” section.
  4. Responsive Layout: Select the option that allows your app to function on Mobile, Tablet, and Desktop devices.
  5. Save Changes: Once you’ve chosen the responsive layout, hit “Save as Responsive” to confirm the changes.

Now, your app should be configured to work with the new responsive editor, allowing you to design for different screen sizes.

If you had something else in mind regarding “new Adalo features,” please feel free to elaborate!

The old apps don’t have “App Layout Type” as a section - so how can I switch an old app to the new editor?

Hello!

I didn’t explain very well. Apologies.

I have moved my app across to responsive. The new features I was talking about were released a week ago, new list filtering capabilities.

At the bottom of the update it mentioned you had to rebuild your app to have the features available.

I’m guess it might be similar to the suggestions already.

Thanks for replying!! It’s much appreciated!
