Internal Server Error when Updating User Database

Hi Adalo Community,

I am a newbie, working on a Journal app. I have made an Edit Profile page but I get “Internal Server Error” and it won’t update the User database. After reading other posts, I have tried deleting the User records, then saving, leaving and coming back on another day…didn’t help. It doesn’t look like deleting the User collection is allowed, otherwise I would have tried for a fresh start.

BTW I have been able to create an Edit Entry form that correctly edits a journal entry. Not sure why the Edit Profile page isn’t working.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I thought I had attached more images…let me show the form details

Hi Gday!

Adalo has some protection to not allow users to change important data but, those permissions can be changed, use the icon with a key in a shield.

That may not work and that means that your DDBB could be corrupted. If after all keep having the issue, contact them via internal support ticket.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. It was good to learn about the permissions icon, but it didn’t solve the problem. I will submit a support ticket.

Thanks again,
Gina

Hi Jare and Adalo Community,

Here’s an update on the Internal Server Error I had. First of all, I want to publicly thank Shipra Thakur, Client Happiness Advocate for Adalo. She made a video explaining the error I had and also gave me a couple of tips.

The screen I had for Sign Up was not set up correctly as a Sign Up screen (mine was set to Log In instead) so the User database could not add Users.

I am impressed with the level of support from both Adalo and the Creator Community. Very happy that I have chosen Adalo for building my app.
