Lists and Filtering external database - SheetDB

Hi guys!

How are you? Hope all of you find well.
First of all, sorry for my english (I´m a Spanish speaker).

I´m creating a concerts and festivals app with an external datase and I have some difficults with Select Menu and filtering list. I´m using SheetDB to connect the Google Sheets database with Adalo.

The Select Menu problem: each event have a gender and city so The Select Menu shows every gender and city (duplicates). I wanna show every gender and city once. Same problem for gender and city lists:

I was thinking in a possible solution: connect another Google Sheets database which exclude duplicates with a formula but I don´t know if the results will be linked:

The filtering problem: don´t show the results of the select menu. I was trying with Adalo Filters but don´t work (the screens and data are linked). In this video I show the setup and I try with three genders. The three options shows the same results:

Any ideas?

Can you possibly send what your external database looks like. I’m confused on how to input in the query para what I need to filter. I am not a coder and I’m just trying to learn.
