No way to use a custom component as Magic Text

Hi, I’m developing a custom input component. It should work like a Text Input but with some custom features. There’s a problem though, the Text Input value doesn’t show up as a magic text option.

Is there any way this could work?

Thanks for answering. I hadn’t seen that video, that’s incredibly helpful.

If I understand correctly, those values are only available as Magic Text within the same custom component, is that right?
