Opinion to create a new application

Hello everyone.

I’m new to Adalo and I need to make a new app for the site, https://www.refugedutrappeur.com/
They change owner/company and a redesign naturally needs to be done (responsive, new branding etc.).

Do you think Adalo can be suitable as a solution?
The site is also linked to a booking platform, https://www.reservit.ca/en/
Would it be possible to replicate such a system without too many limitations or difficulties?

Thank for your opinions.

Hi @Pedupont,

Welcome to the community! :tada:

I believe this can be built with Adalo! (using the responsive builder) If you want to add the same top bar in the website, you would need to create a custom component or come up with a re-design, and for translation Adalo doesn’t automatically translate apps yet but since it’s an one language, a workaround could be used as duplicating screens. (you can find some discussions in this forum)

For the booking part, I also think you could achieve that with a re-design. If I remember correctly, these amazing people (@Victor, @Santiago, @Yongki, @Flawless - forgive me if I’m wrong) have built apps that includes advanced booking systems which they may be able to share useful insights or examples!

Thank you and have a great day!

I’m sending you some screenshots of an app with some of its features… I’ll see if I can make a video so you can see how it works!

You can do a lot of things with Adalo; you just need ingenuity, enthusiasm, to find inspiration, and to act without fear!

Hi thanks for your answer. I think It’s possible to translate content with this component introduced here Introducing the Adalo Auto Translator – Seamless Multi-Language Support! 🚀

Hi @Pedupont,

You’re very welcome!

Like I mentioned, there’re workarounds you can use which is using a custom component but it’s a complex setup. In the above thread you linked about Shantanu’s component, you need to have a separate collection with translations and not works for other data (dynamic data that users adds) which needs manual translations through translation APIs, saving those translations. You could see the YouTube video on setting up that component in his website.

Thank you and have a great day!
