Question about Submitting App on Behalf of a Client

Hi there,

I’m submitting an app to the App Store on behalf of a client for the first time and have a question. I’ve been added as an Admin to their Organizational account.

When updating the Apple settings in Adalo, I:

  • Put the Bundle ID of the app I’ve created in their account

  • Put my Apple ID E-mail and Password: right? not theirs?

  • Put the App-specific password: does this have to be a password they’ve created in their account or can I create one myself?

Thanks!

Hi @afonso,

  • you put Bundle ID of their app
  • if you’re added to their organization in Appstore Connect, then you can put your appleID and password
  • as far as I remember you can create app-specific password in their organization by yourself or ask them to do it.

Best,
Victor.

@Victor is correct.

One thing to note is that the App-Specific Password should be created for the AppleID being used to load the app to testflight which should match the Apple Developer Account.

If they added you to their developer account, you will use your AppleID/Password and create the App-Specific Password for that AppleID.

Thank you @Victor and @CH_Team for the feedback.

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to create a new build either using an app-specific password I created or the one my client created. Both with my Apple ID credentials.

I’m not sure if it’s related with the current issues with iOS builds or with this specific situation.

Can you tell from this error log @CH_Team ?

Hey Afonso,

This has to do with our current service interruption affecting new iOS apps. Apple made some changes that are breaking the build process and the team is working on fixing asap. Would you mind submitting a ticket and we will update you as soon as it is resolved.
