The message “An error occurred, please try again” appears when requesting a password reset with an email that does not belong to a registered user.
Please consider editing this error text to be more clear about the problem, for example, “This email address is not registered.” or “Invalid email address”.
This will help users troubleshoot by considering whether they may have made a typo or used the wrong email address (or forgotten that they’d deleted their account, as I did when testing, which is why I discovered this message).
