I hate to say this and maybe someone out there can boost my confidence with this platform (I use the term loosely.) But it just seems like things are really strange: Features that you think would be pretty basic are not there, People who have done Adalo App Academy (and I assume have strong ties to the platform) cannot be reached and there own platforms and tools do not work (yet they are still up and have a place to accept payment from users: Adastack), Not a single word about the upcoming changes in IOS store for pushing builds to IOS (error that Apple always send saying something needs to be upgraded by 4/29/2024), The utter lack of responses from support (very lack luster answers.)
There are only a few people in the community that make a real effort to help a lot of people (from what I see) Thanks to Rory, Victor, Jimmy.
I am not bashing anyone, but I have spent a lot of time and money with Adalo and maybe I am wrong, but I feel like there should be more done to build confidence in platform, and really make users feel as if their concerns are being addressed.
Please let me know if I am wrong or have missed some thingsā¦
Thanks
Jason
It sure does feel like a ghost town when one needs support. I reached out for support and was told to pay someone to make my app for meā¦
I always hear back from support in a couple of hours.
Hi @Lynk
Iām certainly not in āthe knowā, but I would be glad to share some perspective from my view as a long time Adalo user.
Based on your forum profile start date, this may have happened before you began using Adalo, but one of the things that happened is there was a major upgrade to the platform that ābrokeā many of the 3rd party components that were created. I assume with the concern that there could be more changes coming, many have been hesitant to invest again in creating (or even fixing) what they built before.
One that I have found is adding is https://www.nocodemonkey.io/ and I believe because one of them has a working connection with Adalo (or so it seems). I have purchased many of their components.
Also, I did see a post response from someone connected with Adalo that did confirm that the iOS error change will be made before the date.
I assume their development team is pulled in many directions. I feel that where they have made progress (but honestly need to make more) is in the area of speed. Specifically rendering lists.
Support is poor at best. Something Iāve struggled with personally. If someone is getting valuable responses within a few hours, I would like to know how. My typical experience is 2-3 days with no real solution, maybe a general question back. I have stopped sending support requests which may be what they prefer anyways.
Always appreciate the help in this forum from many. Lots of good people in here.
Does that say DAYS not hours?
