Short App Name on IOS Device

Hi guys,

I am in the process of publishing my first app. I want a full app name in App Store (for marketing purposes), but a short name on the actual IOS device. Otherwise, it gets truncated on the IOS device, because it’s too long.

I don’t see in Adalo how I can separate the two. There is just a setting for App Display Name in IOS publish. Whatever I choose there shows up in App Store Connect AND eventually when I do TestFlight it shows the same name on my iPhone. It gets truncated, which looks bad.

Any ideas?

BTW, same happens with Android.

Did you try to put short name in Adalo, and put a long name in Appstoreconnect, section “General” → “App information”?

Hi Victor,

Yes, I did experimentation and it’s exactly as you say in both App Store and Google Pay. Basically, the app name in Adalo is what shows up on the actual device.
