Assistance with creating a post, categorising the posted posts, creating a group system (like Facebook) and a way to contact posters

Good evening all,

I would appreciate any help with the following problems. I hope I can detail it in an understandable fashion.

Firstly, about my app. I am building a rather simple application that allows the posting of material for a versatile but specific audience to read, comment on, and post.

I need help with the following:

I am unable to create a form that categorises posts. The post gets to the “all posts” page of my application but will not fall into the appropriate category no matter how much I have tried.

Secondly, The posts that I have created for testing purposes, reach the all posts page but somehow magically fall into all categories.

Thirdly, I want to create a place where people can add each other as friends, in order to send posts to each other. I realise this may be more complicated but it would be a nicety.

Lastly, I want a place where people can search and view/contact other users of the app.

I realise this is a lot of information and assistance, that I require but I hope that you might assist me. It is an app providing a platform for military professionals.
