Hello, I’ve just started exploring Adalo. I’ve tried playing audio from the Audio Player in two ways: by pasting a url of an mp3 file in Google Drive and also in Onedrive (in both cases with access to anyone who has a link) in the player; and also (my preferred option) by linking it to an audio record in a database (same urls). When I test the page the player freezes with a circle of doom attempt to access the file and doesn’t show the play button (nor does it play automatically when the page loads, when this option is selected). Can anyone suggest how I can make this work?
Audio files should be stored in the Adalo database as a “file” parameter. Using a URL from Google Drive or OneDrive does not actually link to the mp3 directly, rather a landing page that houses the mp3 file.
Create a database collection called “Audio files” and place the audio in there.
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I had previously tried (only on day 1 of exploring Adalo) adding a file to a database record via the file picker, but didn’t realise I could extract a url from that. I can now play the audio file with a specific url assigned to the audio Player
I would like to use Magic Text to display a text and play associated audio from each of the records in the data base (each record has text columns and a file column where the audio file is uploaded) but I don’t know how to do this. I have successfully displayed texts with subtitles and body in Card Lists. If I include a button on the card is there any way I can then link to a screen where an Audio Player will play the audio associated with the current text on the card?
I haven’t found a tutorial which solves this.
Thank you in advance to anyone who can help with this.
