Did anyone discover a fix to the frantic reverse scrolling issue with group chats/messaging screens?

When you load the messaging screen, it scrolls from the top down and jumps everywhere. I’ve searched the forums, and plenty of people have posted about their experience with the issue, but no solutions have been offered. Any help?

I saw the same question asked 3 years ago! Hope there is a solution to this bug.

Hi,

Have you tried enabling reverse scrolling? You can find it under screen style settings.

Yes, I have reverse scrolling enabled, which is the root cause of this issue.

Can anyone help me get this fixed?

Could really use some help on this. If it’s a dead-end, I might have to look at other options, which I’d rather not since I love Adalo (I am on the Business plan). Any advice?

Hello, you mean that when entering the messages screen, the messages are scrolling from the top to the bottom until it reaches the newest message?

Hello, it’s not considered in this case as a bug because it’s the available way to add a conversation screen. As a solution for it, you can add a maximum limit for the number of messages appearing in the list.

Are you switching back and forth between screens every time a message is posted in the database?

I lowered the limit, but the issue with frantic scrolling is still happening.

And even worse, whenever you try to scroll up through the previous messages in the chat window (Right after the frantic scrolling ends after reaching the latest message), it keeps scrolling down automatically to the latest message.

Nope, I already have “Auto refresh” turned on.
