Does anyone know of a way to schedule such actions for a specific time?
Nadav, you meant scheduling custom actions to run at a specific time? Examples? Thank you and have a great day!
yes, its possible ?
@Victor maybe you know?
@nadavma2 unfortunately, not directly.
You can use Make (but you don’t need custom action from Adalo) or long-awaited function hub - hopefully it’ll support something like cron jobs. ![]()
What Victor mentioned! Also if I remember correctly, @ishantanusrivastava delivered a component for this similar case called like hidden trigger or something, not sure if that exists still or working. I can see cron jobs have been requested multiple times under feature requests, I’ve noted that
Thank you and have a great day!
The problem is that it only works if the app is open…
Does anyone know a solution?
Hi @Dilon
Yes, it is available & working good. And @nadavma2 you can take a look about the component here - New Components Launch: Get My Adalo Components Here! Advance Video Player, Hidden Bulk Trigger & PayPal
CRON jobs (I’m still waiting too)
Does it work even if the app is closed?
It’s been a while since I’ve used it. ( will try soon )
You may want to look at the count-down timer, in the marketplace.
I believe it does a simple action, and you can change the color to transparency to zero, and / or make it small.
@ishantanusrivastava, is it? I think a no as you mentioned, you’re waiting for cron jobs too?
@C3PO, I think that won’t work as the screen needs to be opened for the countdown to fire the actions.
Thank you and have a great day!
My apologies for the misunderstanding. I also meant that the component works well when app is active. No background actions as of now.
