Hi everyone, I just posted this in case you want to join the vote for Adalo to work on these features!
It’s crazy to add a user to help you with some of the app’s features, but this user has access to absolutely everything in your app, for example: clone, delete, download database, publish, etc etc… this is very dangerous and very risky.
On the other hand, the user you added to the app team has access to see all the information on the owner’s account, for example: the plan they have contracted, a list of ALL the apps they made, etc etc… I would think that by giving a user access to work on the app they should ONLY have access to that and only that! Only work on the back and front without access to the rest…
Solutions that adalo can implement:
add and give permission to users to perform functions
Have the account owner create a pin to validate each change
Do I want to download the database? Enter password/Pin
Do I want to clone? Enter password/Pin
Do I want to publish? Enter password/Pin
Do I want to delete? Enter password/Pin
I want to… Enter password/Pin.
This should be Urgent for Adalo, otherwise we will not feel supported if something like this happens.
I handled this by adding various Admin levels via a true/false field to the User database. I then added different features to each screen that are only visible based on the Admin level. Master Admin (sees everything). Manager Admin (only sees current location info). Etc… Simply change the visibility of the features from those who do not need to see them.
I’ve seen apps that have a separate admin app, which is not necessary if you set the admin levels up appropriately.
I don’t think they are talking about what is visible inside the app, but rather in the workspace when you add a team seat. Someone can flat out delete your entire app if they so choose if they’re added as a team to work on your app.
I 100% agree with these permissions being required for team seats. It is the same thing platforms like Google workspace, make.com, and well pretty much every other platform have implemented to minimize the dangers of allowing freelancers inside your workspace.
I vote yes on this. But give them time. Adalo will certainly get better throughout time. Great idea though.
Hi, thanks for the reply, but the idea is not for an app user (you do this with user levels and visibilities from the database) but for a developer to add it to the Adalo development account as a team member (back and front development)… we can’t handle that but Adalo can… let’s hope it gets done soon! It’s super important and gives us developers a lot of security when adding someone to the team!
