Landing on the homepage from a Website Vs Landing on a homepage in App

Hi all,

Hoping someone can help me pretty quickly! I want to know how to let the user land on a different homepage when they visit the website vs a different landing page when they have download the app already. NOT when they are logged in vs not logged in. Can this be achieved within Adalo and without me having to create a new landing page for my website.

  • you might need to use a device detector component, put it on “Home” and “Welcome” screens, and send users to different screens based on detected device
  • another option is simply to change Home and Welcome screens when you publish the app on iOS/Android, and on the web. The app published in the web isn’t automatically updated when you change something in the builder :slight_smile: , so you can switch each time you publish the update. But you’ll need to maintain that manually.

@micheb there is a paid component in the Marketplace.

I did just notice but then also realised they maybe visiting the website from a phone so device detector won’t help. Thank You so much!!!

That’s still counts as web since the component returns web as the device OS. If the app is installed from the stores and opened, then the component returns either android or ios.
