List Performance Problem — Takes Too Long to Load (Images Attached)

Hi everyone,

I’m facing a performance issue in my Adalo app and I hope someone can help.

The specializations list in my app is loading very slowly. It takes a long time before all items appear, and during this time the screen feels almost frozen. This creates a bad user experience, especially for first-time users.

To make the issue clearer, I have attached screenshots showing how long the list takes to load and how the screen looks during the delay.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue?
Are there any recommended solutions or best practices to improve the loading performance of large lists in Adalo?

Hello! Thanks for sharing the details, usually slow loading has multiple reasons, but please make sure to check the following points:

• Make sure you don’t have a lot of filters, or no filters at all.

• Use “Load Items as user scrolls”, and deactivate the “Auto Refresh” option.

• Make sure not to have a lot of visibility conditions inside the custom list components.

• Try using other types of lists other than custom lists for better performance.

I recommend using adalo lists, it improves performance dramatically (if anyone from adalo is reading this, give us more options within the lists - it will prevent us all from using custom lists)
