Some of my locations are not mapping correctly AND the addresses in my Adalo DB are not showing in the DB list. The addresses are complete and google map compliant. I have all that is needed associated with my Google API key. I’ve tried entering these same addresses as new DB records nd the same problem happens. See attached screen shots for “Pure Pastures”, which is in Texas and is mapping in Michigan.
Hi @sueb,
In the map component, you mapped out which option from the location property options? Is it lat & long or another one? See here : Latitude, Longitude, and Special Formulas | Adalo Resources
In your first screenshot (view in the collection of a record), UI displays the ‘Full Address’ and once you save and come back to the all records view in the collection, UI displays the ‘Name’ of the address. You can verify this by populating the location property options in a text component like this. : Location Magic Text and Formatting | Adalo Resources
Thank you and have a great day!
Thank you @Dilon . I completed reloaded my data and it seems ok now (small data set, just 96 records). The map is better.. still testing. I went through the master class and learned more about location but it didn’t help my issue much. I had the formatting correct and cross checked with proper Google addresses in the Location property.
Hi @sueb,
I’ve replicated your issue and I can see that Pure Pastures was in Michigan most probably because you used name instead of location in Maps component setup.
See below. I’ve added the same place to the CitiesNG collection:
When I set up the map marker address like this
I get the result like this:
But if set up the map marker address like this
I get the correct pin:
Same works if I add Latitude,Longitude as a Marker Pin address.
Best,
Victor.
