Migrating from adalo to an external app

When migrating from adalo to an external app, will I export in CSV? In that case, it was written that the password was encrypted and CSV output was not possible for the user data. How can I transfer it?

I am in that administration right now. As far as I know, the passwords and relationships between collections that you have in the Adalo database are lost in migration. It would be interesting if an expert answers this question.

there is no way that you can transfer passwords using CSV. Adalo doesn’t allow that.

You may want to try using the external database beta. That allows you to connect login/signup info to an external collection (eg. your existing database). You must do that from the beginning when setting up the app. You cannot set it up after building.

This post says its closed but I did it successfully last week.

Thank you for your reply. Losing passwords during migration means that I can’t really migrate.

Thank you for your reply. I can’t migrate with CSV, right? Is there any other way to move?

Thank you for your reply.
It means that you can use an external collection in beta version, but if I create an app that uses an external collection from the beginning, will I be able to migrate from an external collection at the time of migration? Is an external collection, for example, airtable?

Here is my experience… I took a custom database from Heroku. And migrated it to Xano. Then set up Adalo as a front end using an external collection for the back end. That way I can use the same back end for my current desktop web AND the new Adalo app.

It should work the same for Airtable, Backendless, or any other external database.

**FYI - I was not able to migrate the passwords from Heroku to Xano.

You can prompt a password reset for these users. It isn’t ideal but I don’t know another way.

Thank you for your response. You have moved from Heroku. To Xano. However, the password cannot be transferred. I will use it as a reference.

Thank you for your reply. I have no choice but to reset the user’s password. I mean, send it to an email and ask the user to set a password.
