Publishing Payment at the App Test Phase?

Hi everybody,

Sorry if I missed it but could not find an answer in previous topics.

Previously one could create an app, register it with, e.g., App Store Connect and test it at an actual phone. You had to pay only if you published the app in the stores (which is - after you tested the app).
Right now I cannot create an App Store Connect version without a commitment to pay (therefore, will have to pay all the way through the app test).

Am I doing something wrong or is there indeed a change in payment for publishing?

Thank you in advance.

Previously, developers could create and test apps on actual devices through App Store Connect without immediate payment, only needing to pay when publishing the app on the App Store. However, you’re now encountering a requirement to commit to payment before testing, which wasn’t the case before.

To clarify your situation, consider checking the latest information provided by Apple regarding the Apple Developer Program enrollment, App Store Connect policies, and any associated fees. You may also want to contact Apple’s developer support for further assistance.

Your welcome kollekzioner..

Hi @kollekzioner,

Do you mean paid Adalo version?
As far as I remember app publishing to the stores was always available only on paid Adalo plans, and even trial didn’t allow that.

Best,
Victor.

Hi Victor, sorry for a late response.
I am on a paid plan and previously I could test the app for free before it was published in the stores.
Right now I need to agree to an additional payment to test the app; not to publish it.
This is why I was wondering if this is a payment that Adalo initiated.
