That's it, I've had enough - again

I gave Adalo a good second try. I stuck with it well beyond my initial breaking point. But, that’s it for me, I’m done.

All I wanted to do was recreate an app from a competitive service (Glideapps), and that process is proving extremely frustrating. Every step forward is followed by two steps backwards, and I have to make too many compromises over the original app.

I have dropped too many features or sacrificed too much over the original app. Adalo’s UI/UX experience is impressive, but that’s not enough to save it for me.

During the last couple of weeks, I have been struggling with Adalo to recreate an existing app. In the same period on Glideapps, I created two new apps from scratch, and they have been rolled out to production; the customers have signed off, and I’ve received payment.

Oddly enough, the most infuriating experience was when I downgraded my account from paid to free. I expected my paid subscription to run out in due course; instead, I discovered (and was notified when I clicked the button) the downgrade takes place immediately, and I have effectively lost three weeks of paid subscription. That was salt in the wound!

I won’t go on another protracted rant; been there done that. I thoroughly appreciate the support over the last couple of weeks and wish everyone the best.

Sorry to hear you had troubles. This post would be a lot more constructive with concrete examples of what you were trying to do that you could not. IE in Glide I can do x, but I can’t in Adalo (screen shots, video walk through etc all help).

Hi @TonyD

Over the last few weeks, I’ve made several posts detailing what I consider deficiencies or technical concerns compared with other services. I was considering reiterating all of my points into a single post but at the time my frustration was at an all-time high. I may still do so at a later date if I can find the motivation.

I’m sorry to see you leave and I’m upset your experience was not a great one here.

On that note though, I will close out this topic as it doesn’t add any value in constructive feedback or in conversational material. It’s more a statement than a request for help.
