I have uploaded a pdf file to one of my Adalo databases. I have created a ‘Download’ button (I am happy for the user to view it in a browser and then choose to download it). I add an action to the button to go to website, then click on magic text, select my database with the file in it but only option then is to choose ‘count’. I am trying to follow guidance from a previous post on here which suggest that there should be different options… see image below.
If you store document file in some “Documents” record (meaning this is a property in Documents collection), then you need to have Current Document available on the screen to be able to download the file.
If there is no Current Document on this screen (it could be inside the list or come from another screen containing list of Documents), then how Adalo can guess, which document you’d like to download? There could be many entries in Documents, that’s why Count is the only option.
